The Ultimate Online Glasses Guide

This blog post is in no way sponsored/gifted. EyeBuyDirect has no idea who I am and I’m simply giving you my honest opinion after buying and wearing glasses my whole life.

The question I get asked the most is “Where did you get your glasses?!”

I always answer – Oh my goodness they’re my favorite! I get them from this great website EyeBuyDirect! I love this site not only because of their amazing prices, but also because of the quality of their product. Another wonderful thing about this company is that YOU CAN RETURN YOUR GLASSES IF YOU DON’T LIKE THEM!

I like to change my glasses up to go with different outfits – and I cannot afford the $$$ frames from the optometrists office so I have always purchased them online. My favorite online retailer thus far has been Eye Buy Direct. Rather than spending $400 on one pair, I can have 8 pairs for half that price!

These frames can be purchased without a prescription with clear lenses but you can also add screen protection, and sun protection. They can even be turned into reading glasses!

Unsure about buying prescription glasses online?

Being blind as a bat, I have my prescription put into the frames. If you are like me, I absolutely recommend having your eyes checked yearly and when you do you can ask the office to print out your prescription.

Always have your PD checked during your yearly appointment. PD = pupilalry distance, is the distance in millimeters between the center of one pupil to the other. The EBD website has a great tutorial on calculating your own. You can input a picture of yourself and digitally try on the frames as well!

When you click on a frame you like, you have the option to add your Rx and then to select the type of lens. Typically I choose “Digital Screen Protection” and then I also usually get the cheaper EBD Blue Basic (1.57) Lenses that have: Anti-Scratch Coating, Anti-Reflective Coating, Blue Light Filter Coating, Complete UV Protection and are Water repellent! If you chose these options, adding an Rx to your frames will be $19!

You can even submit your receipt to your eye-insurance carrier for a refund – obviously this varies case by case but is worth it to call and find out!
